Xeni SIMOU, engineer-architect (GRC) – Diederik VAN MEIRHAEGHE, civil engineer (BEL) – Aziliz VANDESANDE, art historian (BEL) – Anke VANQUAETHOVEN, interior architect (BEL) The church of Saint-Francis-Xavier in Kuregem, a district in the community of Anderlecht, Brussels Capital Region, is a great example of a 20th century neo-Gothic religious building. Although listed as a monument, the bad state of maintenance demands urgent interventions. The reconversion of the church can play an important role in the improvement of the social cohesion in this multicultural quarter. |

INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS, BRUGES |

Juliette LE POLAIN DE WAROUX, art historian (BEL) – Malou MAES, engineer-architect (BEL) – Silvia TALEVI, architect (ITA) The 18th century Pakhuizen are located in the north of the historic centre of Bruges and were originally part of a broader port complex. Today the site is situated on the interface of two different dimensions; one historical, represented by the inner city centre and the Pakhuizen, and one industrial, represented by the later developments surrounding the site. The project wants to integrate not only the building but also the site in a broader frame and restore its former link with the water. |

Andrew LAWLER, archaeologist (UK) – Sandra PREISSOVÁ, landscape architect (SVK) – Kleber ROCHA QUEIROZ, architect (BRA) – Nina VAN MEERBEECK, historian (BEL) The domaine de l’Ardoisière is situated on the left bank of the river Gette, in the lowest part of Jodoigne. The name of the site is derived from the French word for slate, which was found on the site in the 18th century. The domain consists of 19th century barns and a 19th century chateau situated around a courtyard, and a beautiful landscape garden. After being abandoned for decades, the site has new owners, who are working hard to give the site back its earlier glory. |

Caroline DAEMEN, art historian (BEL) – Danai KONSTANTINIDOU, architect (GRC) – Joachim PIENS, historian (BEL) – Frédéric ROSIER, architect (BEL) Hotel Falligan is one of the most prestigious rococo hotels of 18th century Ghent. Although the foundations of the preceding steen were laid in the 13th century, its construction was ordered in 1755 by Lord Falligan, giving the house its current name and status. In 1804 it was passed into the hands of the “Club Literaire”.The building’s rich history and ruptured integrity created a possibility for an intriguing project work. |
