Doctoral Researcher - Social-involvement as a preventive conservation strategy

Hsien-yang Tseng is trained as an architect (BSc, National Chengkung University, Taiwan, 2000), an urban planner (MSc, National Taiwan University, 2003) and a conservator (RLICC, K.U.Leuven, 2009). He worked as a community planner in Taiwan and participated in projects ranging from architectural design, landscape management, urban regeneration to heritage safeguarding. His research interest covers environmental psychology, urban sociology and community participation. Sponsored by Janssen Pharmaceutica, in December 2008 he rejoined RLICC and started his PhD research titled "Social-involvement as a preventive conservation strategy" under the “UNESCO Chair on Preventive Conservation, Maintenance and Monitoring of Monuments and Sites."
