TNO is the Netherlands Organization for applied Scientific Research. TNO Built Environment and Geosciences is a private organization and its research includes the study of surface treatments, measures against moisture- and salt-related problems and the effects of atmospheric pollution. This research is carried out for local and central authorities, restoration architects and building companies. TNO provides monitoring and diagnosis, restoration and maintenance advice and the implementation of treatments.

First Announcement: Inauguration UNESCO Chair on Preventive Conservation, Maintenance and Monitoring of Monuments and Sites

The Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation (RLICC) at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven is pleased to announce the inauguration of the UNESCO Chair on Preventive Conservation, Maintenance and Monitoring of Monuments and Sites on 24-25 March 2009 in Leuven.
